Unboxing A USB Lithium Ion 4x Battery Rechargeable Power Bank

This is the type of unit and batteries I purchased: https://ebay.us/zv1H9a Like most people I have an increasing number of devices from phones, tablets, music players, lights to tiny robots, that require a 5V supply when I am away from a wall power socket. I have in the past purchased sealed power banks and some worked and others very quickly died, and being sealed they aren't the type of devices that the average non Radio HAM can fix easily or without risking setting their homes, workshops or themselves on fire. So I decided to investigate a number of battery powered rechargeable units and particularly those powered by Lithium Ion batteries which look like large AA batteries. These batteries are popular because they they are light, have a standard voltage of 3.7v - 4.2v and claim to store a huge amount of power. The unit I've chosen to test first is a 4 x Lithium Ion Battery rechargeable box that I chosen as it was accompanied by 8 x lithium Ion Batteries, all of which claim to have a very large current rating. In this first Unboxing video I will unboxing the take a close look at what I purchased and in part 2 I will be testing the unit and batteries to see if the batteries really are as high powered as the battery label claims ie 9900 mah which is a lot. Play Fortnite Or Minecraft Or Learn To Throw A Boomerang?

One of the many statements I've heard over the last few decades, perhaps even longer, is that kids always need the latest and best technology or gadgets to play with, the notion being they are more sophisticated and that unlike in my day LOL kids wouldn't be happy fishing in ponds and throwing sticks or beating bicycle wheel frames with a stick till they roll. Young Oliver is one such child a Fortnite and Minecraft Master always locked to his iPad so when he and his brother Pascal comes out with Uncle Malcolm its great to do something different. A few weeks ago on one of my Sunday support days for Pascal (who is on the autistic spectrum) Pascal demanded to visit a castle. Some people take these demands literally and most castles are closed and a long way away. But a short chat with Pascal and we decided a castle was a building with towers and battlements so I found a UK 16th Century Monastery Ashridge House that met the criteria and when I showed it to Pascal he agreed its a small Castle. As usual I took young Oliver along with us and off we went. Sadly when we got there the House was closed to visitors due to covid19 but with a huge Hindu Wedding in progress and the grounds were also closed. It didn't take Oliver long to decide he was bored and that he wanted to go back to my place to play Fortnite et al. But I'd spotted three empty football pitches close by so I said we weren't going home until we'd thrown some sticks around the football pitches, I got the full huff shoulder drop sigh and I Oliver said "Really", so I said not any sticks we'd go find some boomerangs and throw them and off I went. Oliver and Pascal eventually followed me. This video is an edited version of the fun we had for over an hour and half, with Oliver, Pascal and I throwing boomerangs and Pascal sunbathing under a tree. It came as no surprise to me that Oliver was enthralled with this stick throwing and was actually very good at it, although he did nearly take my head off several times with one time me having to do a goalies dive out of the way, when I wasn't paying attention LOL As they used to say in Hill Street Blues - Be Careful Out There. Fortnite Grandad Squads Alex Leads Squad To Victory Royale

fixed1t_fixer Fortnite (May 22 2021) Got a shout from #AlexbrawlGod who hasn't coached me for a while who was with some friends. So we teamed up for Fortnite Squads, being old and slow I don't have the reaction times but I try to help where I can. I just hoped the rest of the squad would be as patient with fixed1t as Alex has always been, time will tell. This game is such great escapism and despite being harmless fun it reminds me of my time in the military which is possibly why I don't run guns blazing in a melee but tend to use cover and move in shade and in valleys rather than jumping up and down on the top of the hills, roofs, bridges and cars LOL Despite being killed by some protective god, then resuscitated by Alex I went on to still be alive an taking active role against the final ten, but #AlexbrawlGod really was amazing. It comes with a range of excellent brass tips and a reasonable stand, but I recommend purchasing a soldering iron stand for stability and safety. As I will show in the follow up video, its also great for smoothing wooden drill holes which is difficult to achieve with a drill or a file in soft woods. Fortnite Arena Trios Grandad Plus Two Young Sweaty's

If you are spending your time moaning about how much time youngsters are gaming, how brain numbing and intellect wrecking it is and how anti social they are, then join them in the game and you'll discover its none of that, they are part of a vibrant, intellectual and socially challenging collective that challenges not only their reactions, perspective and moral compass, but that makes them equal whatever their age, colour or creed. If you think they don't have friends check the games friends list its a massive multinational conglomeration and they are as likely to be singing english songs as well as french german dutch russian arabic they've picked up from online friends etc etc one big crazy family.  In real life you can most likely count their friends on one hand and online they need a hundred.  You ask them to join you, why not join them you'll be surprised at their gaming age and abilities, I know I always am.

These friends of Oliver wanted me to make a Fortnite video of us playing, and they were good very good saving my life several times whilst putting themselves in danger to do it because they cared.

Emergency Fence Post Fix So Good Its Permanent

I've undertaken many emergency, quick, cheap, temporary #fixed1t fixes with many so good, they have become permanent over time either because I have become distracted by other fixes or I've decided to see how long they would last for scientific reasons. Whatever the reason the #fixed1t fixes have just gone on saving me money, effort and time. In order to benefit my subscribers, viewers and the channel I though it would be a great idea to create a new playlist and shorts with links to these fixes. So I devised a simple wood working solution with the intention of getting him back after a few months of covid19 to replace the post. But my simple fix is still working. I even had to really good garden design builders in for a few weeks, who were surprised by what I had done and despite swinging on it when asked about replacing it, they said leave it its not going anywhere and should last years. The is a link in the video to the original video repair, so if you have dodgy fence posts or your neighbour does, take a look at the link. If your considering down it (at your own risk of course) make sure you watch all the video several times as you don't want to get part way through and realised you don't have the tools or resources to finish it. Robots In The Shower - The Start

 When your crazy Tardis is as full as mine, finding places to let the robots your fixing do their stuff is ever increasingly difficult especially as I haven't been selling during the lockdown, so as to avoid trips to the Post Office to post things.  Then just over a week ago, I was sat contemplating the world on the throne of life when I realised the shower cubicle especially in our loft conversion would be perfect.  Also around the same time one of the special needs kids I work with asked me if my #fixed1t was on TikTok, as I wasn't I thought I'd surreptitiously combine all three items: Robots, Shower Cubical and TikTok into a cunning plan.

The plan is to demonstrate all of my robots, fixed, modified or interesting in the shower cubicle many times and to put the videos on #fixed1t Youtube and a special version on a new fixed1t TikTok channel.

Amazingly, its actually going well, I have made 4 quick videos 1 minute each.

The first robot I chose was the extremely rare and bordering on cute WowWee Femisapian, a female looking robot designed for all the techie girls who were obviously getting incensed that all the humanoid robots were portrayed as male.  This catwalk moving woman may not be seen as PC at this time but back them it was seen by WowWee marketing as new ground. Sadly it wasn't as popular as it male counterparts were.  Here is the WowWee femisapien walking the walk.

For the second video I decided to choose another of my little used favourites. This is quite frankly a huge and extremely strong monster of a robot again from WowWee but this one is called the Roboboa. Now you may think that sounds like a Boa Constrictor? and if so you'd be right, it is and over a metre on length.  I've been planning to modify the roboboa for some time to make it more than a dancing and roving snake, but as usual 'too many projects'.  One of its tasks is as a Toy Room security bot, it has infra red sensors built into its head along with a couple of microphones so it is more than capable of hearing a sound, looking towards it and detecting any heat signature of a person or creature in the room (brother, sister, friend or others), the infra red is very sensitive and the speakers very loud as it screams of an intruder. I think I need to do some interesting mods on roboboa.  In the meantime here is roboboa strutting his stuff in my shower.

The third culprits for Robots In The Shower are a couple of utterly bonkers RAMON robots by TECHMATIX and these robots are just plain crazy.  They jabber and chat along to themselves endlessly which can't have enamoured them to the parents, friends and partners of the robots owners. There also doesn't appear to be a way to turn down the volume.  In this video they are doing one of their dances although given that the sound and the gears are very loud its hard to tell what it is.  The Ramon's came with a headset and attached control box so you are supposed to be able to control them from the headset by speech, I'll have to leave that for another time. The fourth robot in the shower is one of my favourites, he's a Chinese Robot from Shengen robot ally.  He was created by CityEasy.  When I got him he was called Bobi Bobi and responded to Bobi Bobi as the key for a series of voice commands. This didn't work particularly well as his english commands only appeared to work if you spoke in a fake cartoon Chinese accent like the actors in the 50's and 60's B Movies.  But it worked all the same until one day he popped up and said he needed to do an urgent security update, stupidly I let him do so and suddenly he no longer responds to Bobi Bobi.  I tried putting calls out to City Easy and others, asking how I remove the update from his memory so I can reset him back to Bobi Bobi but to no avail. Here is the fixed1t video on the Bobi Bobi speech issue

However, he still connects to the internet and one of his party tricks, which goes down brilliantly with adults and children alike, is his rendition of Gangnam Style and he dances the dance here in part 4.

Your Package Has A Shipping Fee Text Message Mail Service Scam?

Like everybody currently in lockdown, I'm buying things on line with a lot coming from overseas even though it states Local Shipping. As I'm at home I don't have to worry about non delivery, but I know from experience having a parcel returned to sender can be very expensive or result in the loss or damage of an item, on top of the problem of having to repay for delivery and the subsequent delay in receiving the parcel. Its the new lockdown shipping fear. Therefore receiving a message saying a parcel is going to be returned is concerning and apt to get you to quickly respond. Should You? Apple Wireless Magic Mouse Rechargeable Batteries Workaround Fix

Rechargeable batteries not working in many devices is a common problem due to the design of some battery compartments, Its really a problem with this Apple Magic Wireless Bluetooth Mouse. This is the workaround fix I used to use Rechargeable Batteries with my Apple Wireless Magic Mouse as I got fed up of feeding it with expensive (over time) Alkaline Batteries. I had tried using rechargeable batteries in the past but they just wouldn't work period or they were constantly losing their connection with the mouse due to the design of the Apple Wireless Mouse Mouse positive battery connections in this battery compartment. Also this is a high power device so normal NMH rechargeable batteries don't last long which I why I movement to Nickel Zinc Ni-ZN as they have a voltage of 1.6v rather than the NMH or Nicad 1.2v Everything I use is in the video description below! How To Fix SKY Email unable to verify account name or password On A PC

This video shows you how I fixed my SKY Email alert message and email lock claiming it is unable to verify account name or password on my Apple MacBook Pro but the problem is exactly the same and with the same fix on a Microsoft Windows machine. The deliberate SKY email problem also affects all phones and tablets and I'll be publishing a Part 2 video to fix those platforms. This is the ONLY FIX Deleting the email account won't fix it neither will typing in new passwords of your own, but be ready to copy any new password you create during this video because they aren't available twice. Looking good makes you feel good its what everybody knows but many miss the chance by not ironing their clothes to impress themselves or others. Some clothes look great casual straight out of the wash, but others don't. If you leave the ironing of your clothes to somebody else, then you are going away the opportunity to be one with your style you are saying I'm as smart as as somebody else makes me and I need others to do the jobs for me. Iron your own clothes and wear them with pride. Its also a naturally mindful process, you need to be relaxed to do the best job, and remove the other matters from your mind and concentrate on you and the hot iron.

Cheap Conductive Black PLA Is It Real Or A Scam?

If your looking at creating something using a 3D Printer that needs to be flexible and conduct electricity, then Conductive PLA is an interesting way to go. You can print all manner of circuits directly into a design cutting out the need for addition printed circuit boards or soldering irons. I have a couple of sensor projects I want to do where Salt Water and other PCB corrosive chemicals will be used. Copper boards and metallic sensors don't do well in such environments. Obviously, using plastic means you wont be able to shift a lot of current as heat will damage the PLA but for low voltage work it should be fine. The question is How Good Is Conductive PLA? Like many of these things there is the Very Expensive and the cheap (but also expensive). So I decide to start with the cheaper conductive PLA as I wasn't even sure if the project would work. However it seems there is an awful lot of scam PLA about so I'm going to test the batch of 5 metre packets of Conductive Black 1.75 mm PLA I bought for resistance and conductivity and see how good they are. Zen And The Art of Ironing Part 1: Ironing Trousers That Don't Need Creases

In the popular mind Zen is Deep Meditation something you have to work at for years, decades and lifetimes to achieve to block out the stresses of modern life and think of nothing or at least not about your compulsive materialism. Its supposed to be stress removing, but lots of people STRESS about the fact that they aren't de-stressing enough which to me is counter productive. I'm not religious or mystic but I did learn to mediate from a book and control my breathing and body functions etc when I was about 11 years old and read my fathers old 'The Power of the Mind' book around the same age, it was only when my mother caught me reading her 'Tropic of Cancer' about (Whales with 6 foot thingies) that I got a clip around the head, and I realise some books were for adults. My mother taught me to do some ironing as a kid, I liked to help out, but was so terrified I'd burn myself I stopped. I didn't really learn again until I joined the Army. The services are sticklers on cleanliness, polishing and above all ironing. Ironing instills pride in ones uniform and in the section, the squad the corps. I was good at it, nay very good at it and I could earn a little on the side ironing uniforms for others who found it difficult and some impossible. What I worked out that if you approached ironing in a relax manner, took your time, developed a routine, it became incredibly relaxing and with steam irons the sound is like the tide on a beach. In fact its almost impossible to think about others stresses whilst meticously ironing well, and even though the ironing can be tiring if there is a lot of it you ended up feeling great, if perhaps relieved when you finished and proud of the good work and sleep well. If people then pass positive comments on your well ironed clothes you feel great, job done. If your a MAN and you iron your own clothes then your something special, even if its the butt of peoples jokes, but it receives the stresses on the main ironer and means you are doing something together, a positive. Fortnite How To Win Battle Lab Play By Stealth

I'm old and really bad at Fortnite, and I've discovered BATTLE LAB - PLAY and how to win battle lab by stealth, or at least I think I have and I'm about to test the theory. Battle Lab is a 3.5 hours Last Man Standing game giving you time to chat and team with other players, of course there are young sweats going around slaughtering people but with a team some guile and cunning you can mostly avoid them. However, given that when your killed you merely re-spawn there is no big problem, the only hassle about dying is you lose all your weapons and have to go looking for more. So you team and make friends but you of course have to mind what information you give out players and when as they said in World War Two "Loose Tongues Cost Lives". But I decided to be open and friendly whilst at the same time trying out a plan I'd put together to win, by stealth but I needed the help of others to stay alive and collect things and co-operation was the main watchword. This game allows you to investigate all manner of psychological principles and one in particular Game Theory. Co-operation amongst groups and altruistic sharing can rapidly develop between teaming players, and reciprocation is evident but at what point will each player put their own aims before those of their compatriots when will the needs of the one surpass the needs of the many. This was my first experiment play and it proved very interesting and fun at the same time. How To Fit A New Bathroom Mono Lever Tap

After fixing my cold tap I discovered the hot tap was completely seized and I destroyed the brass nut in my attempts to unscrew it. Before anybody ask I had ALL the right spanners and tools it just wasn't for moving at all. Having removed that mono hot and cold lever tap I now need to install my new mono lever tap. First I need to descale the hole and the surrounding scale which cover from having a water leak in a very hard water area. How To Remove A Bathroom Mono Dual Tap

After fixing my constantly dripping cold tap I discovered the dripping hot tap was completely seized and the nut got destroyed in my attempts to unscrew it, even with the correct tools. But looking on the bright side I got a fixing the cold tap video out of it.

So before I can fit a new mono tap unit I need to safely remove this one with the minimum of damage to the sink unit, plughole and pipes as I want to use them all again ;-)

How To Fix A Dripping Pedestal Sink Tap

If your taps are dripping after being turned off you have a tap leaking valve or valve seal. I had such a problem on a ceramic valve tap and this video details how I fixed1t. Before I started the repair I turned off the emergency water stop valves to the taps. If you don't know how to do this use the in video link to find out how to do that! How To Get To And Close A Pedestal Sink Tap Emergency Stop Valve

If your bathroom or ensuite taps are dripping or you have a leak, then you will need to turn off the emergency stop valves under the sink or behind the sink pedestal. It sounds like it should be simple but Its almost as if plumbers make this inaccessible just to prevent DIY plumbers and techies like me from doing it ourselves. Often to get at the pedestal to remove it you first have to remove the sink, taps and all that entails so I figured out a quick way to do it.
