How To Fit A New Bathroom Mono Lever Tap

After fixing my cold tap I discovered the hot tap was completely seized and I destroyed the brass nut in my attempts to unscrew it. Before anybody ask I had ALL the right spanners and tools it just wasn't for moving at all. Having removed that mono hot and cold lever tap I now need to install my new mono lever tap. First I need to descale the hole and the surrounding scale which cover from having a water leak in a very hard water area. How To Remove A Bathroom Mono Dual Tap

After fixing my constantly dripping cold tap I discovered the dripping hot tap was completely seized and the nut got destroyed in my attempts to unscrew it, even with the correct tools. But looking on the bright side I got a fixing the cold tap video out of it.

So before I can fit a new mono tap unit I need to safely remove this one with the minimum of damage to the sink unit, plughole and pipes as I want to use them all again ;-)

How To Fix A Dripping Pedestal Sink Tap

If your taps are dripping after being turned off you have a tap leaking valve or valve seal. I had such a problem on a ceramic valve tap and this video details how I fixed1t. Before I started the repair I turned off the emergency water stop valves to the taps. If you don't know how to do this use the in video link to find out how to do that!
